Step Forward Publishing Ltd is a small, independent company
founded in 1997 to publish the magazine Practical Pre-School.
There are three directors, Gill Wilton (Managing); Julie Smart
(Publishing) and Roger Warham. We are based in Leamington Spa,
Warwickshire.
Gill Wilton and Julie Smart have been involved in education
publishing for more than 15 years.
Step Forward Publishing concentrates on material suitable for
all professionals involved in teaching and caring for children
in the UK Foundation Stage (aged three to six) of education.
Through its magazine Practical Pre-School it has built up a base
of information and knowledge regarding early years education in
the UK, which is second to none. The information contained in
this handbook is just one of the resultant services it is now
able to offer to other companies working in this field.
